Village Park Chiropractic Health Centre was established in 2012 with a vision of helping individuals and families in the Roncesvalles Village and West Toronto communities achieve better health through chiropractic and massage therapy. Village Park succeeds a chiropractic and massage therapy clinic in York Region, where the highest quality of health care was provided to patients for over 10 years.

Dr. Andrew Cooper, DC, B.Sc.

Dr. Andrew Cooper earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Logan with clinical and academic honours in 2001. Prior to that, he attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Life Sciences.

Dr. Cooper specializes in particular gentle techniques that aid in helping people of all ages reach their goals for health. He tailors these techniques to the particular needs of each patient:

  • Thompson Drop Table Technique
  • Diversified Technique
  • Activator (gentle technique for children and the elderly)
  • Logan Basic (gentle technique for children and the elderly)
  • PIR Muscle Release Technique

Dr. Cooper has been a chiropractic patient himself for many years. After completing his undergraduate studies at Queen’s, he was inspired to follow in the footsteps of his chiropractic mentor, and provide natural healing care for people of all ages.

Dr. Cooper continues to upgrade his education and understanding of the science, art and philosophy of chiropractic, so he can provide the highest quality care to his patients.

Laura graduated from Sutherland Chan Massage Therapy and Teaching Clinic in 2006. She is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. As a registered massage therapist in Ontario, which mandates some of the highest requirements in the world, Laura is qualified to treat using the following techniques/tools:

  • Swedish, sports and deep tissue massage
  • Trigger point treatment
  • Lymphatic drainage
  • Pre- and post-natal massage, including infant massage
  • Joint mobilizations
  • Remedial exercise and self-care instruction
  • Hydrotherapy

Laura has worked with Dr. Cooper since 2009. Her belief in a holistic approach to health care complements the patient-centred care we provide here at Village Park Health Centre. She places great focus on empowering our practice members toward better quality of life, and believes that collaboration with the client and their entire health care team, will aid in that client’s journey toward rehabilitation, maintenance of good health, and prevention for the future.
